Jaya Krishnan

Jaya Krishnan, born in Malaysia, has lived in Ottawa since 1979. He attended the Kuala Lumpur College of Arts from 1974 to 1979. Krishnan has experimented with various artistic forms, including surrealism, abstract expressionism, cubism and realism. He now paints in the landscape tradition of the French Barbizon School. Krishnan creates luminous and striking landscapes focusing on the play of colour, light and atmosphere. He has traveled extensively and has works in numerous private collections in Malaysia, Europe, the United States and Canada.
