Peter Cunningham
Trinity Galleries has been pleased to host Peter Cunningham as our "Artist in Residence" for the months of May and June 2006.
Peter Cunningham was born in the city of Birmingham, England, in 1951. At the age of thirteen his family moved from the industrial Midlands to rural Staffordshire. After completing high school, Peter enrolled at the Stafford College of Art, where he developed his natural abilities, his sound drawing skills and a strong sense of colour and design. He continued his art education at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, England, studying fine art painting and drawing. With his formal education behind him, Peter with his wife Gail, set up a studio in their first home, a converted canal boat.
Peter and his family moved to Canada in 1984. He now lives in Ottawa, working from his busy downtown studio. He is represented by galleries in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Montreal and Saint John and is included in many private collections in Canada, in England and in the United States.
Some of his recent corporate clients include KPMG Peat Marwick and Thorne, Mead Johnson, The Royal Bank, OMERS, the Corel Center, Metropolitan Life, Midland Walwyn, Merrill Lynch, Human Resources Development Canada, Sirius Consulting Group, Pan Canadian and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
