Artwork by Canadian artist Monika Wright is held in collections in Canada, Europe, USA and South America.
Her paintings incorporate universal symbols, circles as emblems of unity, wholeness and infinity; and lines representing boundaries which separate us, but which also connect us to one another. Vibrant colours and organic shapes spring out of a spontaneous, intuitive style that invites you into an inter-play between the artwork, the artist and your own imagination.
She is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA), a member of Visual Arts Nova Scotia (VANS) and ArtSpa. Monika has received a variety of awards and is actively engaged in her own art practice as well as that of her fellow artists through exhibitions, workshops and volunteer work.
Monika’s work has been published in International Women Celebrate, in the 50th Anniversary Edition of Enroute Magazine, in Exposure, Echoes of Elizabeth Bishop, CBC Sharing the View Calendar and Arts Illustrated Magazine.
Monika Wright’s expressive canvases reveal dynamic elements of color nuance, of magical light that glows amidst the darkness, of brushstrokes that are both wild and gentle, conveying movement and mindfulness. Through the bonding experience of her art, Monika hopes to inspire courage and compassion across all divides.
